Sustainability

Sustainability

Due to the steadily increasing global demand for fish, we are aware of the responsibility we bear as wholesalers on a daily basis. In order to preserve fish stocks for future generations, it is particularly important to us to ensure and support sustainable and responsible handling from catch to transport. Our membership in the Federal Association of the German Fish Industry and Wholesale Trade (Bundesverband der deutschen Fischindustrie und des Fischgroßhandels e.V.) further underlines this. The joint initiative for more accurate catch area labelling for seafood gives all market stakeholders the opportunity to protect natural fish stocks even better.

Compliance with ILO core labour standards along the supply chain is a matter of course for us. This means that we exclude forced or child labour. To this end, all employees receive regular training.

We make sure that our business partners share the same values in order to ensure the protection of the oceans and fish stocks through sustainability. To demonstrate that we take responsibility for future generations, we have our company certified by selected institutions on an ongoing basis.

These include MSC, ASCGLOBALG.A.P., IFS, Bio (DE-ÖKO-037) und Naturland. Our current certificates are available for download here.
